If you’ve ever snubbed your nose at a box of boxed wine, it’s time to fess up. Why did you think that cardboard container was so inferior to your bottle? Sure, it might be cheaper, but it’s not necessarily a terrible product. Some boxed wines happen to be very high quality, and they save you money while they save more resources from environmental waste.
When I lived in Spain, many of my friends and I regularly drank from quality boxed wine to save money as well as space (carrying your groceries from the store to campus was never light to begin with!). It was common among everyone—not just college students—to enjoy boxed wines and there were just as many boxes as bottles on the shelves.
