Post-Election Feelings

Every election we've had in my adult life has felt tumultuous and scary, particularly when Bush II was in charge. Then we had Trump's reign of horrors and I discovered I missed Bush II. Does anyone else think this is an incredibly toxic way to elect a leader? Something this divisive and often mean-spirited needs to be changed, especially when we get someone so abusive and hate-mongering in charge afterward who refuses to accept election results.

Veteran's Day Deals

On November 11, many businesses celebrate Veteran's Day with a myriad of deals and services for our vets or members of the current armed forces. Most of these are restaurants, but plenty of stores also have special deals or veteran rates, so if you have served our country, be sure to take advantage of these specials.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Dip

As a big fan of pumpkin dip, I was thrilled to run across this awesome pumpkin spice latte version. Normally I simply mix whipped cream with pumpkin and a few spices to create a quick dip to go with Nilla Wafers or graham crackers, so this will be a welcome new flavor!

The coffee granules look like they're the biggest change in this dip, but I bet the yogurt adds a nice flavor and texture, too. I love PSLs anyway, so I bet this will be phenomenal. Get the whole recipe here.

Foster Farms Bold Bites

As someone who is always looking for low-sugar snacks for on-the-go, I was excited to learn about Foster Farms Bold Bites. They have some awesome looking flavors of snacks that are low in both sugar and calories. It's boneless, skinless chicken breast with bold flavors packaged in a portable, non-perishable bag!

I think these would be great for a quick addition of protein to salads, too, which I'm also excited about. I am always adding lunch meat to my salads because I forget to cook up some chicken the day before, so it would be a very convenient and flavorful option.

Nuclear Reactors 830 - China Seeking Advanced Nuclear Power Reactor Technology From France

China has been expanding a lobbying campaign aimed at important French politicians in an attempt to acquire billions of dollars worth of French nuclear technology. Critics of the effort say that Beijing will use such technology to expand its global influence and undermine global security with its "debt-trap diplomacy".

Radioactive Waste 781 - Korea Is Going To Test Radioactivity Decontamination Technologies At The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant In Ukraine

There was a massive nuclear accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, near the city of Pripyat in the north of Ukraine in April of 1986. A test was being conducted on the emergency backup systems for core cooling. The operators triggered a reactor shutdown, but a combination of unstable conditions and reactor design flaws caused an uncontrolled nuclear chain reaction instead.
