Family Guy at Comic Con

San Diego Comic Con is more accessible than ever this year since it's online due to the coronavirus. Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Mila Kunis will all be taking part in the Family Guy panel, and there will be one on American Dad as well.

This year's Comic Con is also free to attend, which is fantastic for people who've never been and have always wanted to go, as well as those who are at home missing going out to large activities.

Best Online Games To Join

Although many states are reopening, and too early according to many of us, plenty of people are continuing to participate in online games for a diversion. It's so kind of various venues, like Marcus Theaters, to provide free trivia events, and many restaurants are providing BINGO nights for patrons.

We did a BINGO night were we picked up cards and wine from a bar. They delivered it to our car and we played from home. It was pretty fun! They also did a drive-thru BINGO night.

AOC Pulls Through!

Luckily Tuesday's elections weren't as disastrous as they'd first appeared to be when Kentucky closed most of the state's polling locations, and progressives had a few victories to celebrate, most notably Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez winning her primary even after facing several challengers. It just goes to show that plenty of people are ready for real progress in this country.

Grateful Dead Deo

Grateful Dead and deodorant don't exactly seem like they would be words that go together well in a sentence, especially since a lot of hippies don't like deo in the first place. But what if it was a vegan formula that was all-natural? That's what the Grateful Dead have come up with in their new line of deodorant!

Enjoy a Night of 80s Entertainment

Without blockbuster releases hitting the big screens right now--and with social distancing still required as Covid-19 numbers rise around the nation--many drive-ins are making a comeback with some gnarly 80s films. Our local drive-in is airing The Goonies this weekend and we are very tempted to go, even if we already have it on Blu-Ray (and we're not about to see the octopus scene on the big screen).

Independence Day Cocktails

A local eatery where I'm from has some really fun cocktails that involve pouring booze into Capri Suns or sticking a bomb pop in the cocktail itself. THAT is the kind of obnoxious drinkery I would like to see this Independence Day. I'm not one to get drunk, but my husband and I love to get pints for the Fourth as part of our annual tradition, and since we won't be going anywhere with lots of people this year, we're going to have to be creative at home.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown

How many of us find that we never see someone like us in a steamy romance novel? It's a common issue for many people, and it's one that author Talia Hibbert seeks to remedy. Hibbert writes characters with diverse backgrounds and situations, making them richer and more interesting as well as representative of the human race.

A La Mode Pies

Pies aren't just about sweetness and gooey holiday after-meal treats. Pies also come in the savory variety meant to fill you up during the meal. At A La Mode Pies, you can get both kinds, and you can either pick up or have them delivered while you're at home.

Helping Kitty Lose Weight

Ever since she was fixed last summer, my Gizmo has just grown and grown. Now I fear we're going to have to take her to the vet and maybe even embark on a special diet! I'm loathe to do this since I have multiple cats and dogs who eat in the same room and not many places to close a door for her to eat (or keep her out of their food)!

Grimoire Tea

My love of tea and coffee truly knows no bounds, and I'm the kind of person who couldn't choose between coffee and tea if you held me at gunpoint. OK, I guess I'd have to go with coffee, but I'd sure miss my tea! Lately I've become obsessed with a new-to-me brand called Grimoire Tea.

Low-Carb Options: Crazy Bowls And Wraps

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, my family and I have followed and supported businesses that give back to the community when we can. One such business is Crazy Bowls and Wraps, which is now famous for providing free meals for kids during this time. I remember when I first visited one of these restaurants many years ago and found myself unimpressed with how dirty and lackluster it was, but they've since revamped the place up and it's one of my favorites.

Politicians Should Listen To Experts

When history looks back upon the time when the government refused to listen to the CDC guidelines and put the economy in front of human lives, each politician so eager to sacrifice citizens for the bottom line will be remembered as a villain, not a hero. How simple would it have been to pay the nation to stay home for a month? Or even two weeks? How easy would it have been to do what so many other nations have done?

Nuclear Weapons 728 - NATO Defense Ministers Met Via Teleconference To Discuss Responses To Russian Nuclear Belligerence

For years, Russia has been threatening its neighbors with nuclear weapons. It has often flown nuclear bombers near or actual in other countries airspaces without notice. It has sailed nuclear vessels through the coastal waters of other nations with no notification.
