Heineken Pony Keg – a Foamy, Beer Adventure (But it doesn’t Have to Be!)

If you lot Heineken beer and you are sick of just buying the case of bottles, and you have never heard of this cool keg gadget before, then let me turn you on to a the newest, or shall I say newer, innovation: Heineken Pony Keg. Well priced, this thing holds around a gallon and a half of crispy, cold Heineken lager for you and your best buddies to enjoy. It’s ideal for barbeques, get togethers, parties, shindigs and what have you’s. However, many people fail to properly open this Heineken Pony Keg and as a result suffer from a foamy, dreaded beer adventure. But it doesn’t have to be that way my friends!

The Heineken Pony Keg retails for about twenty bucks and can be found in the beer isle at most grocery and convenient stores. You do get a ripping deal on it considering that a case of twelve Heineken bottles retails for nearly fourteen dollars, and this puppy is only a few well spent dollars more.

How to Open it Properly!
Remove the tap and plastic that holds it from the top. Avoid shaking or turning the Heineken Pony Keg at all costs! Pull out the tap and unlatch it so that the green bottom fuse is pointing down. Align the tap with the nozzle insert at the middle of the top of the Heineken Pony Keg. Then slowly snap the nozzle into place. Pull the lever towards you slowly and drain about a cup of excess foam. Then enjoy the rest of the contents of your Heineken Pony Keg relatively foam free. Video instructions are below!

How to Use the Heineken Pony Keg
Many people, including a great deal of folks that I know, are unable to, or just don’t know how to properly use the Heineken Pony Keg. Even though the instructions are clearly printed on the top, there is still an art to tapping a keg, even a pony keg, and especially the Heineken Pony Keg. So if you wish to avoid a foamy lager, one that ruins half the contents of this costly Heineken Pony Keg, then make sure that you watch the video below. It was created by a video blogger—courtesy of Youtube.com—who was sick of seeing buddies waste delicious beer. Never tap a Heineken Pony Keg wrong again, after you watch this informational video!
