Highballs are mix drinks that have a high amount of alcohol in them, hence their name. Many people who enjoy drinking are fond of highballs, and may not even know that they are called as such. There are some very popular highball mixers that are really easy to make and that will net you a buzz after just a few. Below are the top four, most commonly ordered highballs, and how to make them taste oh so good!

Jack and Coke
Perhaps the most popular of highballs, you make this drink by taking an 8 ounce cup and filling it with cubed ice. Add a shot and a half of Jack and top it off with coke. Garnish with a lime, serve and enjoy responsibly. You can also use diet coke, and whiskey tastes great in Dr. Pepper as well.

Cherry Rum and Coke
My favorite of the highball mix drinks, you will need cherry flavored coke, rum, fresh cherries in juice, and fresh limes. Fill an eight ounce cup with cubed ice. Measure and pour a shot and a half of rum. Measure and pour a shot of cherry juice. Layer cherries in the ice and top off with cherry flavored coke. Garnish this puppy with limes and enjoy!

Pineapple Juice and Tequila
Another great highball mixer that is really easy to make! Fill an eight ounce glass with cubed ice. Then measure and pour a shot and a half of your choice of tequila. Layer pineapple slices in the ice and top off the drink with half pineapple juice and half club soda or carbonated water. Garnish top of glass with fresh orange slices and enjoy!

Screwdriver
Last but not least, the screwdriver! Fill an eight ounce glass with cubed ice. Measure and pour a shot and a half of vodka. Layer fresh orange slices in the ice. Top the glass off with fresh orange juice. Garnish with a kiwi fruit slice, serve and enjoy!
